Places to visit

Trulli is located in the land of the Southern Murgia / High Salento in the town of Ceglie, home of the ancient Messapi who had chosen this land because of its predominant and central location.

In fact at the top of old town stands the Ducal Castle.

From Ceglie is easy to reach all the artistic and tourist places of interest in Puglia.

In the morning you can choose between the Adriatic sea in Ostuni (15 Km) and the calm beaches of the Ionian Sea in Campomarino and San Pietro in Bevagna (39 km), to spend a day at the sea. But you can also venture out on excursions in the nature as like as the Zoo Safari of Fasano and the caves of Castellana, or visit the beautiful city of Alberobello (35 Km), Matera (100 km), Polignano a Mare (60 Km).

In the evening, when the hot sun subsides, it is easy to give in to the countless temptations: the gastronomy of Ceglie Messapica walking trough its old streets, the spectacular night view of Ostuni (13 Km) called the “white city”, Martina Franca's Baroque (20 Km), the old town of Locorotondo (26 Km), the ceramics of Grottaglie (18 km) or the traditional skewered-meat served by butchers in the streets of Cisternino (17 Km).

For those that have a little more time, is easy to reach (120 km) the tourist Otranto and Gallipoli.
